Okay, so this is a weird choice for me for a pattern, but for some reason it instantly came to mind when deciding what to make with this fabric. McCall 2877. I think this was either a left over pattern from my mother or grandmother from the 90's or something that came in a lot of patterns that I'm surprised didn't end up in the attic with all the other patterns I don't want. I try to look at the bones and lines of a pattern and not just the outdated fashion style of the covers. Sometimes it's hard, but with this one I definitely knew that it was something I would wear. I love batwing sleeves. And this is just the COSIEST fabric ever created. I have some left and might make a True Bias Marlo sweater out of it. I'll put up a closeup of the fabric. Purchased at the Fabric Place Basement in Newton, MA. Greatest store ever.
A cool feature is a piece of fabric inside to make a shoulder stay so that the shoulders don't stretch out! I left out the shoulder pads, obviously, but I know this fabric would stretch like mad, so that's a great addition. I just used a piece of muslin, it's just attached to the seams of the sleeve and is only a few inches long to go over the shoulder.
