Lounging PJs, different than Beach PJs! I suppose not, I've seen a lot of semi-scandalous photos of women in beach PJs from the 30s. But anyway, these are labeled as lounging and sleeping PJs, with large large arm holes and the instructions have fagoting (a type of open stitch connecting pieces of fabric) along the cowl neck which goes right over the chest, so they would indeed by most scandalous. I left that fagoting out, but I learned how to do it by hand on the pockets, which makes for a fun little detail.
The fabric is an insanely soft rayon challis from JoAnns. A very comfy outfit! Unfortunately I find that it doesn't get worn too much because I don't really 'lounge' that much! The yellow was a random fabric, synthetic peach skin type, that I had in my stash that I thought went well. And the bias binding on the legs was also some old stuff from my stash, back when I bought boxes of vintage sewing supply lots on Ebay.
They are insanely comfortable, super baggy without the waist tie, and they close with snaps up at the shoulder.
