Geez, I have an entire summer worth of sewing to post up here! I don't know what I've been doing other than working and traveling! Well, I managed to finish a dress and a shirt both made out of different red riding hood quilting fabrics at the same time. I don't know how that worked out. I also made a red jacket with a hood last year that I need to put up. I feel like I should keep going with this theme!
The dress is McCalls 6696. I know now why it is such a popular pattern! Such an easy make! The pattern fit without a lot of alterations (it is a little loose, but not noticeable with a belt on), so I'd say it's a keeper, I already have a few different fabrics in mind for future projects with this pattern.
The skirt is a little less full than the pattern because I didn't have enough of the fabric and the top is recycled out of a man's button-up shirt (all re-cut and everything). I have a whole stack of those shirts that I need to use up!
Can I just freak over this fabric for a little while guys? Matryoshka little red riding hood. I mean, come ON!
I hope I get over my blogging laziness!

If you finish summer dresses in fall, it means you need to find sweaters to go with them!
