I couldn't get any good pictures of the dress, the light has been rubbish lately when I've been trying to take pictures. Or maybe it is just this house is insanely dark. But I wanted to get this posted and over with! So here it is.
I got back from Paris, took a look at the amount of fabric I had here, and was completely overwhelmed. SO MUCH FABRIC. I wasn't used to that and I sat there for nearly an entire day trying to figure out what to make. And then I decided to not decide. So I picked up a dress I had started before I left and finished it! Et voila. Even though I'm back and surrounded by all my patterns, I still finished it without one. It is liberating.
Based on a 40's dress I saw a long time ago somewhere online. I don't quite remember it as it was over a year ago. But yay :) Project finished. It is swishy and swingy and ready for dancing. If I danced, that is.
Ugh, rubbish pictures. I'm totally going on a diet. And an exercise plan. America is making me fat. Or rather, I'm making myself fat in America :P
I finished another project that I started years ago, made a cardigan, mostly finished a skirt, and started another dress. I'm also working on ripping apart and redoing some of the things that I've made before, either they weren't finished because I messed up, too big, broke, or I was lazy. Oh and then there is also getting a job and moving on with my life. We'll work on that.
