So titled because by the time I finished my 'sweater' project it was too hot to actually wear it. Ah well....next year maybe? And then I'll have a nice surprise when I pull it out because I never really hemmed the thing except for the sleeves. I'm so lazy. Maybe I'll finish it before I pack it away for the season. Ha.
But! Since I didn't have that I thought I would celebrate the new season with a summer dress as my next project :)
Sort of convertible I guess? No pattern! I'm pretty proud that I was able to manage something wearable. Sure, I messed up, but that is where creativity comes in. The neck was massive. Like, falling off my shoulders. So I made a little channel and it has a tie now. Even more convertible! I can adjust the neckline :) Just wish I had been able to wear it at least once, lol, I really love how it turned out.
So, not like, perfect, but I really think that absolutely no patterns to even work off of is probably helping me as a seamstress. Or something. And hey, I was able to find elastic thread here! So perfect :) The back has some elastic, summer dress are so much better without zippers. So, yea, nothing much to say. Yay spring! Wow. I'm really out of practice with posting about sewing, aren't I? Anyway, my friend saw it and now I'm going to make a dress for her. fun stuff!
