Took a lot of awesome pictures. Well, I'll put that differently, there were a lot of awesome things to take pictures of, so it was hard to choose. We spent a good piece of the day at the 'Open Doors' art weekend put on by the Artists of Belleville. It was pretty awesome. I'll do a post later :) But yea, I had a hard time picking a picture so I just decided to go with this one, not my favourite of my 'finalists' but it is of painting and art supplies so I thought it encompassed the theme of the day well :)
Well, the choice of the day was between a scum encrusted shopping cart that had been fished out of the canal or highly saturated ducks. And a person who doesn't prefer a line of baby ducks over trash is a person I don't want to know, lol :P
It was like....an entire day of just crappy pictures. Of course, the only pictures I took were when I was sitting along the canal drinking my coffee before class. And the canal is sort of disgusting, lol, so most of my pictures were of trash :P Ah, Paris
Unfortunately a terribly unflattering picture for the older woman, but I like the sentiment all the same. They were both laughing and happy before the picture was taken, so it is a bit misleading in any case. But yea, Sunday was like, a nun day or something, I had to have seen at least 10. And I hope my comment to Meghan of 'why do I never see young nuns?' was made before I saw this one and not after. Although, I was a little out of it after the bottle of wine. What can I say, it would have been too heavy to carry around ;)
I walked around the Marais, there was a 4 day art festival thing going on. I didn't hit much of it, but I did get to hear some 'New Orleans Jazz' :) Which made me happy. While I was chilling with a white wine in front of a church waiting for the music to start this darling walked by. TOO FRIGGIN CUTE. Isn't that just the most adorable small horse russian wolfhound you've ever seen? Too cute. And huge. But SO CUTE. I want one. Could you even imagine having a dog that big in a city? Yes, my picture of the day is a dog. Sometimes I just can't help myself.
Shopping in Les Halles and then a leisurely walk back home in some strange round-about way through the Marais/3eme. Fun times :) A combination of shopping therapy and walking through my beloved city made my day better than I thought it was going to be. PLUS I got 20% off the stuff I bought PLUS I just figured out he forgot to charge me for something. Trop chance, lol.
