I think this Photo a Day thing is a good exercise for my inability to make petty decisions. I scroll through 3 or 4 pictures that I'm trying to decide between and it takes me forever. And then I realise that there is one that I've been drawn to the whole time that I was nevertheless trying to ignore. It might not be the best one, the most artistic, or the most descriptive of my day, but there is always one that has....je ne sais quoi ...
Not all the daily photos have to be artistic, right? I was walking back from school on the OTHER side of the canal than I usually do (what can I say, I'm a rebel) and there was a school yard with coloured shoes in the tree. So there you go.
Cool painting illusion or whatever on the window of a building I saw while walking to the store today. The store that I said I wouldn't leave without my money or my sewing machine and I left without either. How much I fail at everything would be funny if it weren't so depressing. Sort of shady part of town too.
This is the kind of picture you get when I stay home and study all day. A picture of my tea. Well, study, and procrastinate, and slack off, and watch tv. I was meant to be studying though. I was scared, like, there were 3 chapters left in my A1 level book and I was starting the A2 class! So I studied all the chapters. Then went to class today and realised they hadn't actually covered those 3 chapters yet. Well, at least I'm ahead. And I like my new teacher. Just, not the 9am part of it :P My sleeping schedule is so off.
Actually made it inside Les Invalides today! I've been around it, and inside the courtyard, but never actually inside. So I went today with a friend. (Invalides houses Napoleon's tomb in the giant cathedral, and is also a military museum, along with still acting as a hospital). I don't know what was up, but my hands were shaking so bad today I barely got any pictures that weren't fuzzy. This picture is inside the cathedral.
